Hello Janet,

This is an amazing project ... thank you for sharing it so intently and intensely! Nici Richter is on a similar journey ... and I think you would find incredible synergy in connecting with her. On her profile, in where her passions lie, you'll read

I have initiated The Promise of Peace Permaculture Farm Network in Africa to assist individuals and communities by encouraging the establishment of self-sustaining food security by training individuals and groups in the ethics and design principles of Permaculture and assist them in establishing Permaculture Food Forests in the rural areas of Africa. I want to study AoH as it will greatly assist in creating a fertile space for shared dialogue.

I've flagged you to Nici ... and the rest belongs to both of you!

What a beautiful salute to nature and her potentiel... Living in the big city (Paris!) I feel so drawn to fold myself into your picture...

Here's my invitation for your input....This is the pic I mention...

I am in the very early stages of a deep call to purpose the land I originally purchased for my retirement home and garden/farm homestead as a place to host a permanent Learning Village where people can connect. A place to find our edges and hone and hold our centers, while tending the homestead and gardens, using permaculture design and systems and Art of Hosting practices. Where we can learn heart-based living, organic food growing and prep and myriad other practical homestead skills needed to sustain people and planet in turbulent times ahead.

The land is 160 acres of virgin boreal forest (aspen, birch, balsam, alder, willow, spruce) with clean spring water and most amazing soil. I spent much time there since this spring and am very aware that this is a "Thin Place" of the world, alive with devas and spirits. One beautiful day walking about placing survey stakes in the area that will become the campsite area, I felt particularly welcomed and blessed by the place. I snapped a photo with my phone camera as I was preparing to leave. At first the photo appeared ordinary, a meadow in the fading light of late afternoon. When I downloaded it and looked at it in larger scale, I was astonished to find an image of a circle dance of rainbow spirits. (I'll try to upload the image here)

I'm asking for your wisdom, for any suggestions or advice you might have for practices to honour and respect the land and nature spirits as I bring human energy into the mix. Much of the land (140 acres) will remain wilderness, accessible only by hiking paths and used for wildcrafted or wood harvesting, with three areas totalling 18 acres where human structures and gardens will be developed.

I posted a request in a conversation Ursula Hillbrand launched and hope this will invite anyone who might have something to add...

Seeking input and advice: working with subtle energies

Looking forward to hearing from you. Janet

I'm now hosting Subtle Arts Mentoring Sessions: Navigating, using the subtle arts ~ for those who want to explore questions and situations that are important to them, and who seek to navigate onwards with higher consciousness and subtle skillfulness.

Subtle artistry comes with sourcing the ‘wisdom of everything’ and discerning - with the utmost precision - what is relevant, now. Accessing and then applying these multi-dimensional intelligences in different contexts and levels of scale is a core leadership capacity of our times ~ and perhaps one of the exciting leadership frontiers of our conscious evolution.

Contact me here: for more details or to book a session.

Best wishes, Sarah

Last Friday, during our Practice day with our special guests Christina Baldwin and Ann Linnea from Peer Spirit and authors of "The Circle Way", and who are re-inventors of the Circle Practice adapted to our times, I did get an answer on the directions of which flow to choose for a circle to go. When opening it, like in a check-in, we go left, because our harts are left, and we go from heart to heart, trying to bring our hearts into the conversation, open up. When we close the circle, during check-out, we take the right, as we want to give from our right hands, into the next right hand, we want to become active and use what we have gained and learned while being in circle. While these are still words of theory which make perfectly sense, it would be interesting to go on with observing and sensing.

Thank you, Sarah - this is a spectacular piece of writing. I really love how you have woven together some of your most beautiful blog posts into this stunning essay. Much in here to savour.

The Powers of Place Initiative - July PERSPECTIVES - features my short Essay: Power of the Evolutionary Edge
"If you want to understand the power of the evolutionary edge, simply recall the fragility of a stalactite catching the newness of a droplet forming at its tip, having journeyed from ground level - through moss, stone, soil, rock itself - a miraculous slow-motion subterranean journey taking months, years or even thousands of years to create..."
