Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I'm an experienced World Cafe host, and have close friendships with many people in the Art of Hosting community, a significant portion of whom are also part of the World Cafe community, as there are obviously overlaps on several levels - personally, professionally, methodologically, and ideologically.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I have never attended an Art of Hosting training, but feel very connected and close to what I know of
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I'm primarily focused on hosting virtual World Cafes and other dialogue-based online events, as I feel it is very important to infuse the medium with the intimacy and power of real humanity and inter-personal connection.

In my home and communities, my method of choice is very often circle work, but my interests are the same - infusing our lives with human connection and love.
Where do you live/work?
California
Would you like to share a web address?
http://www.beautydialogues.com
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I'm fascinated by and passionate about Beauty, in all her guises. My creative and spiritual work is all about looking for the beauty of this world and illuminating it. Not to deny or ignore the pain and dis-function, but to approach my life appreciatively and use my skills and perceptions to provoke/evoke/stimulate/catalyze positive change.
