Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I got trained at the European Commission in February 2010,
since then it has shaped my way of living, together with other practices, like coaching, yoga, arts, silence, listening...
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am an experienced practitioner. I am active at the European Commission's Art of Participatory Leadership Community and also locally, in Brussels. I am hosting and participating at AoH events regularly, inside and outside the Commission.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I practice regularly world cafe, pro-action cafe, open space. I reckon that metaphors are a really powerful tool, be that through artwork, art interpretation, body language, improvisation or just by simply putting meaningful subjects in the middle of a circle.
Using the whole range of our personal tools (mind-soul-body-emotions) is very powerful and I am inquiring into how to use all of them, at the same time, by being present and by listening to ourselves. For this reason I am interested in practices that offer the possibility to explore the usage of more at the same time. One of this is Aikicom which applies the philosophy of Aikido in communication. I am also interested in involving more "nature" elements in my work, by for example having meaningful conversations while walking in the nature. Hosting self as the basis of our work comes to the focus of my practice right now.
Where do you live/work?

I'm curious to hear more about your interest in art and music and hope we meet again. Warm greetings from our very silent, slow and green hobbit house in the Ardennes :) L

Dear Annamaria

It was very good being with you, what a time we all had. Thank you for that love! You have a real power too. Keep growing around the obstacles, and letting the sacred feminine guide you!

Love Luke
