"I'm so happy to see the AoH community making space for parents and children at this gathering. And I'm so sorry that I can't be there with my 11 year old son and my partner, but hope to connect another time.
"How to truly…"
Some of us have been working on to integrate AoH practices with deep psychological processes, such as the constellation work, originally of B.Hellinger or perhaps some use the deep democracy process work as well. Why not share and see where we are at?See More
How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I learned about the Art of Hosting through Margaret Wheatley's website and the Berkana Institute and participated in the first Australasian Art of Hosting Event near Melbourne in September 2008. I have been a systems thinker and therapist for many years and familiar with dialogue and circle methods. I am engaged in the Melbourne AoH Community of Practice and am an experienced practitioner.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
My primary focus has been community work and I am now starting to bring the AoH into working with schools, parents and teachers.
Where do you live/work?
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
My personal transformation from "FEELING important" in my career as a Clinical Psychologist to "BEING important as a mother made me aware of the lack of understanding and support our culture has for the perinatal period and the crucial role parents play for the future of their children and our planet. Hosting yourself and the children will always come first.
