Additional Information:

Conversations for the 21st Century

Convening a free, monthly conversation on key issues that effect the human community today

Hosted by weDialogue, in collaboration with the World Café, we will be using telephone conferencing technology to make these sessions as inclusive and accessible as possible.

Our role in offering these free public conversations is as conveners, “conversational leaders”; our task to call and design space for the important community conversations that are needed in order to respond to the challenges and opportunities of citizenship in today’s global society.

The conversations are grounded in World Café principles and based on the World Café format. An exchange between three “conversation starters”, chosen to reflect a rich diversity of perspective in relation to the session’s topic, will anchor each one with a focus on opening the space for dialogue, hearing from one another, and uncovering possibilities; it will not be a presentation, or proscribe a specific pov or action.

The inaugural conversation, “Community for the 21st Century” will be focused on the topic of Community.

Other sessions will follow on topics like: the Environment, Poverty, Politics/Government, Family, Food (Slow Food), Agriculture, Creativity, Health, Education, Aging, Multi-Generational Collaboration, Competition & Collaboration, Technology, Art & Aesthetics, etc.

We ask our sponsors and conversation starters to promote their event to their communities. In addition, we will be inviting specific individuals and groups that we feel would make a contribution to the particular topic of conversation as Special Guests.
