Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I co-initiated and co-evolved the Art of Hosting pattern and practice with many other friends. I am part of the Stewards Circle.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
My inspiration for designing and hosting systemic transformation processes is rooted in my deep connection with the powers of place and specifically my connection to the natural world - teaching the art of self-organizing. It also comes from experiential research of the subtle arts, including co-creating the Art of Hosting, Edge of Collective Sourcing, the Art of Protection, the art of holding space virtually and in person, and the living wholeness pattern and practice - so allowing the multiple levels of intelligence to inform and generate collective intelligence.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Questions that frame these fields are:
How does 'being systemic' impact and shift the system as a whole?
What is the transformative potential when people and place are hosted with intention?...an ongoing journey with the land, relationships and practices of Axladitsa-Avatakia: powers of place as partner to living Wholeness.
How does making visible the more subtle levels through my writing (poetry and prose) best serve at this time?; i.e., chronicling a whole spectrum of information that can often be missed
Where do you live/work?
Axladitsa Avatakia
Would you like to share a web address?
http://www.axladitsa.org
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Tending the family web; Writing poetry and prose; Olive farming; Vine and fruit-tree growing

Trip-switch Overlap

A young electrician called Scott came to remedy a fault in the electrics of my kitchen.

After two solid hours of ‘trouble shooting' – tracking wiring from source to service – re-wiring tired lines, untangling confused energy pathways, exploring roof spaces to reveal invisible circuitry of this particular energy system to find the point of…

Saying YES and taking flight

When sensing is understood … feelings are tempered … practicalities tended … intention clear … and trust strong … so that we finally are ready to say yes to our YES and step off the cliff… what do we do when unforeseen 'emergent' events create the possibility and even reality that the 'movement' may be stopped in its…

Navigating in Times of Transition

At home at Axladitsa Avatakia this evening, I find myself entering a depth writing weekend with the intention of completing my second book, and sending the draft to my copy-editor for the first wave of reflections and re-patterning, Monday morning.

* Available in April

As The Order of Creation, A Book of Poems http://theorderofcreation.org/ continues to move out in another wave today (30% off promotion…

Stopped Dead by Death on 'Burnt Thursday'

I finally took my walk with Freddie – my sweet kairos protector - who stood in front of the Apothiki looking directly at me as I sat at my computer – saying it was now time to go.  He had not had his morning walk.  I was in no mood to go – and anyway, he had gone hurtling out of the door to visit the neighbours. It was after all an hour later than his usual excursion as I had overslept due to finally getting to sleep in the early hours of…

I had a candlelight dinner with Alain last night and we remembered being at Axladitsa together and he spoke fondly of you, wondering where next your talents would come to the fore!
