How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I first participated in an art of hosting training in Chaimberlan, South Dakota, as a follow up to my participation on the Meadowlark Project Change Lab Team (I was still hungry for more experience in the kind of co-creative space that felt like a deep re-awakening in me.) It was a very powerful experience, and since then I have been part of hosting teams as an apprentice several times.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
Art of Hosting is a way of practicing life; for me it's a set of tools and principles for being in the thick of family, community work and other relationships. It's also a global circle of amazing mates sharing experiences.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Community transformation, with foci in rural american small towns and environmentalism/sustainability.
Welcome, Joe, great to see you here (that is, we will SEE you here when you upload a picture -- got a good one?). There are plenty of resources to have a look at and conversations to become part of -- I hope this community will be a great one for you and you a great contribution to it!
