- How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
- By following a training
- Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
- I was first trained in 2018 in France, in Paris at the Ministry of the Economy. I practiced for almost one before joining the European Commission and receiving new training. I will start practicing again as part of my new duties.I am a new practitioner and I hope to develop my practice internally as well as to the European Commission outside to continue to be inspired.
I started looking for this type of practice because I wanted to get out of the conventional schemes where the meetings take place. Like many people, I search the internet for more collaborative working methods and that's how I found out what in France is called "collective lintelligence".
I then discovered that in the ministry where I worked, there was a project to create a community of facilitators. I thought to myself that this was an opportunity to have training. This training transformed my life. I discovered that by putting the "human" in the center, we could create new solutions.Since then, I have been trying to introduce these practices in my work and with my colleagues.
- What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
- My job is to try to develop innovation in the purchasing process. I often use these methods to help better identify the need, to create a team around purchasing projects and finally to develop more innovative methods to direct the purchase towards an innovative solution.
