Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
When I first studied and started practicing Circle, I came across the Art of Hosting website. Not entirely sure on the date. Although I began this work in 2004.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I advocate for Circle as a means of environmental education. I believe that all Circle practice is environmental education in a manner of speaking; for it is the aim of environmental education to bring about a change of conditions to live sustainably on the Earth, this includes the way we relate to self, others and the natural world. When we begin to interact with each other in a more respectful, cooperative and authentic way, it is then possible to interact with the natural world likewise.

I have been facilitating Circle in some capacity since 2004. Then between 2009-2011, I deeply studied Circle and its significance for Environmental Education for the completion of a M.A. in Environmental Education and Communication at Royal Roads University in British Columbia.

I now offer Circle & creative facilitation services for relationship & community-building, communication edification and environmental education purposes through The Bumblebee Circle.

And in December 2013, I published my first book on Circle!

Cameron, L. (2013). Circlebee: A book about Circle & bees. Chilliwack, B.C.: Bumblebee Circle Publishing.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Environmental Education.
Where do you live/work?
The Fraser Valley of British Columbia
Would you like to share a web address?
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Away from work, I enjoy gardening, growing my own food, and taking care of my honeybees.
