Hey folks...the Group Works pattern Language crowd is hosting a learning event June 29-30 in Vancouver - a deep dive into using the Group Works Pattern Language.

Was really disappointed not to be able to make it into town last night.  This cold is not treating me well, and I have to watch out before I travel again.  

Glad this went well...and yes to one in December and January and, and, and...!

Thank you to Vince, Rebecca, Mark & Amanda for our get together last night.  I felt wonderfully bewildered by the collected energy & wisdom in our small group, that  is part of the bigger group - so exciting to connect with other souls, connecting.  Starhawk is perfect.  Looking forward to meeting again & sharing with all of you. xo

Hi Laura - I believe it is from Dreaming the Dark, and it was quoted in Christina Baldwin's book Calling the Circle. 

And for sure understand about the distance to travel from the valley. Will be great to mix up the locations to make it easier for you and other folks to gather at.

Beautiful piece from Starhawk Amanda!  Which of her books is that from?

So glad the Vancouver AOH community created space and time to meet up. I think you nailed it on the head with that piece Amanda, why this is so important!  Wish I could of joined with - but it is a fair distance to travel on a work week evening all the way from the 'wack' (Chilliwack). Looking forward to hearing about upcoming gatherings with this community as I too, live for these valuable connections.

Welcome Lisa, Vince, Rebecca and Marc to our local community of practice. AoH drinks was good - like soul-good. Energy to do it again. Maybe December or January - we'll pick a date and who ever shows up are the right people.

Gathering tonight reminded me of this piece from Starhawk:

Community. Somewhere, there are people to whom we can speak with passion without having the words catch in our throats. Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us, eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate with us whenever we come into our own power. Community means strength that joins our strength to do the work that needs to be done. Arms to hold us when we falter. A circle of healing. A circle of friends. Someplace where we can be free.
