I have not been able to take part in any of the Groundwork trainings so far. I see it as essential. also for capacity building. Does anyone have an overview over trainings in the coming 6-8 months?Continue

Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
EC course in Bruges 2008. It quickly became
obvious to me that I was looking at the future operating system of the European Union. What's not to love?
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am a regular senior practitioner of hosting in different formats at all levels of the European Commission and with stakeholders and other citizens. I have recently started co-hosting basic AoPL training. I believe asking questions is one of the best ways to get informed. :-)
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Bringing out the collective intelligence and native knowledge in each. I believe the historic mission of the European Commission is to host conversations among the Europeans about how they want to work together in designing their common future. Nudging the European Union towards participatory co-creation of policy.
Where do you live/work?
Brussels bubble
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Baroque flute music, mountain hiking.

Really pleased to have connected with you, Ian! And thanks for bringing Laurence into the AoH circle, I sense she will bring us valuable body work. Let's stay in touch and let me know when you come to Paris!

Welcome to the Art of Hosting community, Ian! Glad to see you here!  Please post a photo when you can so we can really "see" you here.  Then join in with all the conversations. You'll find plenty of resources here, too, to help you deepen your practice.  And the more you add to your profile, the more the community can learn from you and share with you.
