Systemic Constellation and deep group processes in the AoH practice

Some of us have been working on to integrate AoH practices with deep psychological processes, such as the constellation work, originally of B.Hellinger or perhaps some use the deep democracy process work as well.  Why not share and see where we are at?

Hi Katie!  Thanks for forwarding to me as well!  I also agree it is a journey for sure and has to start somewhere and I feel 1-2 days can give as you say a 'taster' for people.  We are doing even a 1/2 day taster here in Colorado with Ria's visit in the next few weeks.  That is not as much a 'training' through as an introduction I would say.  I have trained with Judy Wilkins Smith in the US and she is now certified to certify through the Hellinger Institute of the Netherlands (and is as I understand the only one accredited to do this at the moment in the US)  I would be very happy to open a dialogue with her as well and see what we could cook up together.  We can take this forward by email.  I want to say my experience has not been like AOH in the sense of this being a specific methodology with training. I could see a hosting team holding the event but it is usually much more  of a training environment with a qualified person training.  There is so much to learn and really to experience with constellations - most people I have known, including myself, leave their first experience in a state of wonder 'how did he/she do that?'  After 1 day I would not expect people to feel comfortable using it.  I would be curious to hear what others say.  I would expect them to have a better sense of what it can offer, when it may be useful.  I did the first one on my own with an organizational client after about 5 3-day modules, plus some practices with close friends etc.   Also just to check I am thinking you are more interested in organizational level or family level?  Look forward to speaking!

Dear Katie,

I do beleive that constellation work has its impact in the deeper and more unconscious vibrational dynamics of the psyche and would not encourage people to set it up without deeper understanding of the work...Yet the learning is more a journey into practice as you put it, as well mine definitely took 2-3 years of mostly being in it, experiencing, watching it down in my case a man from germany, Peter Orban...so that I come across more and more constellations one may be in.  In our case to combine the two ( AoH and Constellation) I personally see a great opportunity for the so called hprizontal and vertical dimensions to unfold...where there is no need to articulate the experienced constellation in verbal communication, yet there is an experienced and perceivable shift in the room...

@Sara Bechor - Yes! I saw that and wish I could be in two places at once :) If anyone from this group is there, it would be great to hear how things are going and what you are learning! Thank-you Sara for posting this :)

Some more questions are surfacing as Susen "Rubi" Fagrelius and I continue to deepen our inquiry in to the possibility of calling a 1 - 2 day Systemic Constellation training in our region. We had some questions that have surfaced and I wanted to post them here, I'll be posting them to the list-serve as well...

  • We want to respect the potency of Constellation and the impact and healing it can bring. In offering a 1 - 2 day training, would this be considered more of a "taster", introducing people to what Constellation is and pointing them to additional training opportunities to deepen their practice or would people leave having built the skills necessary to incorporate Constellation in their AoH practice?
  • Is there a certain level of competency that is required in using Constellation? This is a question that brings me back to my first taste of AoH... I wanted to know if there was a certificate or training program to be able to do this work - as I have learned its more of a journey into the practice, I'm not sure if Constellation is set up the same way as AoH and would like to learn more about what we can offer in a 1-2 day training on this, if it would be skill building so people can practice, or a taste of it so that they can explore additional training into it to do it well.

We need some clarity on this before we move forward - so what ever you can offer and contribute to this inquiry is greatly appreciated!!

Thank-you!

Katie

Hello friends,

I've been very curious about how to learn more about Systemic Constellation and if there is anyone in the US that provides 1 or 2 day training on this? If so, I would love to hear from you and invite you please email me directly at katie@soweluinstitute.org. I'd like to explore this more with folks who have more experience with constellation- I had a beautiful and very healing experience with it in Brazil's Hosting from a Deeper Place earlier this year. Since then I've been hungry for more intentional learning around Constellation.

Thank-you!

Katie

Thanks Agota - is that work with individuals who come to you or sponsored by a healthcare organization? Cx

Hi all - my imagination and energy and curiosity has been sparked by this thread of using constellations more in political and multi-stakeholder processes.  What are the best places to read case studies or harvests of where this has been done and on what issues?  I am also interested in anyone using constellations in healthcare - and particularly in maternal health situations.  Thanks in advance!
