Hi Everyone,
The link to the AoH Halifax Journal above is broken- does anyone have an electronic copy they could post here?
Thanks!

Just had a great conversation in lead up to this gathering - we were talking about outcomes and the worldview that underlies all the Art of Hosting / Participatory Leadership work ... then Peter said " you know it is the understanding of the worldview that allows us to execute the methods and mental models".
Yes - without the worldview and the deeper exploration of how I lead in the world right now - all the methods and mental models can be hollow.
What if we asked ourselves what we wanted-surfacing our hopes, dreams and aspirations before making decisions or taking action from a position of power, privilege or influence.....

What does it mean to IGNITE a CULTURE of CIVIC PARTICIPATION in NS? What would NS be if everyone had the courage/energy/tools to act on their passions & ideas? How would we: share our learnings? collectively learn from our mistakes? celebrate success as a community?
so much potential blossoming...
How can we think differently about PARTICIPATION & COLLABORATION? How we do engage with citizens outside our comfort zones in the most public of spaces? What catches people in their every day to inspire and provoke intentional creative proaction?
Photo Note: Cole Harbour Creative Community Engagement exercise for HRM Open Space Planning coming soon...we asked passerbys in cars, tim horton's line ups, skate parks, sports complexes, and strip malls... "What do you love about Cole Harbour?" and "What else is possible here?"
Check out the resources and media tabs at the top if this page for lots more info on the Art of Hosting.
In addition to the journal you can also download the Art of Social Innovation Fieldbook, which gives some good background on some of models and approaches and how they connect to innovation at scale.
Here's a video of Bob Wing on courage which I thought folks might enjoy:
