How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I met Toke and Marianne Knuth at the Shambhala Institute in 2002. I immediately felt that I had found a home and the work was an expression of a life-long desire and commitment to working for positive social change.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I use the Art of Hosting practices in my work daily - I am a long-time AoH gathering host. I have been named as a steward and I feel that the stewardship of the field is very important work for me especially in Nova Scotia, where a starting a business (the Hub) and now my young son (Jack) have been keeping me rooted at home.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I do a lot of different things. I am particularly excited by working on issues that have a positive impact at scale and with multiple diverse groups of those most affected and committed to make a difference. some examples of past work can be seen here http://www.a-new-leaf.ca/New_Leaf/Initiatives/Initiatives.html
