Thanks so much for the questions and opportunity to share a little about ourselves. Do you want us to answer the questions in this forum or is there another online location that we are suppose to answer the questions?
"Welcome, Kameron, great to see you here (that is, we WILL see you when you upload a photo - got a good one?). The more you add to your profile, the more the community can see how to connect with you. There are plenty of resources to have…"
How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
A friend sent me information today via Facebook. I am the CEO for a small nonprofit that "hosts" conversations and facilitates workshops for rural K-12 schools in Alaska.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I run an organization that is very much in alignment with your philosophy. My staff spend a great deal of time preparing and planning our work from the perspective that the "answer is in the room", developing the powerful and essential questions and making space for thought, collaboration and discussion. We believe that this is the answer to improving the performance and quality of schools.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
K-12 education (planning, problem solving, decision making), strategic planning, informed decision making, powerful and relevant instruction and community/education leadership.
Welcome, Kameron, great to see you here (that is, we WILL see you when you upload a photo - got a good one?). The more you add to your profile, the more the community can see how to connect with you. There are plenty of resources to have a look at and conversations to become part of -- I hope this community will be a great one for you and you a great contribution to it! You might want to be in touch with Janie Leask, who also lives in Alaska. I notice she has two listins (!), must talk to her about that!
