Research question: I posted this on the list serve but thought I would come directly to you...

Most likely you all on one other forums where I have posted this question so I apologize up front for the duplication.

I am currently doing research on cultural change through multi-generational dialogue and am finding resources scarce. If you have any stories, information, data, papers, books, or other recommendations, I would love to hear from you. I am wide open right now on how to approach this. Thank you in advance.

Hi John,

I'm excited to hear about your research!

We do mostly corporate work(leadership development and culture transformation) and the four generation workplace is increasingly on the minds of leadership teams.

We encourage our clients to see that until now there has been, for the most part, a 1.0 managerial approach to the four generation workplace, which uses:

- a demographic lens: use what we know about the generations to manage talent in silos, mostly focused on recruiting and retaining based on generational data

- an HR lens: use what we know about the generations to 'bridge the gap' between them and manage the inevitable conflict that emerges between them.

Our work introduces a 2.0 leadership approach to the multigenerational workplace, which uses:

- generative processes to bring the four generations into dialogue where they share perspectives, find common ground for collaboration, and learn to collectively lead and transform their culture. Naturally, participatory practices such as World Cafe, Appreciative Inquiry, and Open Space and Action Inquiry support this work.

- the company/systemic context is a focal point in our Multigenerational Leadership Exchange, which brings real, complex questions to the table as the focal point for dialogue.

Of course our friends at the World Cafe continue to be our favorite collaboration partners in this area!

I'd be delighted to share more about our experience (mary.stacey@contextconsulting.com) and have attached a few articles you may wish to cite.

Mary thank you ever so much. I am excited to talk with you about your work.

John

Mary in looking at your site, I noticed that Sergio joined your team. I knew he went to Canada to join a firm but I did not know it was yours. Please give Sergio a very warm hello from me. We have had many wonderful conversations but not in a long time. He might like to know what I am up to. I wish you the best. My information for Sergio is below.
