How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Martin Büchele introduced me to AoH and it has sounded fascinating.
I attended my first AoH training in Hazelwood/GB in 2009 with Toke, Linda, Sarah, Maria, Martin and many others.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
In 2012 I was a starting practitioner and fairly new to it. Together with Simone Tiesinga-Poutnik, Linda Joy Mitchell and Silas Lusias, I organized the first AoH in Kenya for the INGO Caritas Austria in the development industry with the topic "The future of pastoralists' livelihood in Marsabit County".
Now I feel that I am an experienced practitioner/steward promoting AoH in Africa and beyond. Together with Linda, Sarah Whiteley and Bikundo Onyari I hosted also AoH trainings in Nairobi. I am engaged in Collective Healing spaces and bringing AoH to new countries.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Participatory approach in development work in Africa
Project and organisation development
Team building
