Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I learned about the art of hosting in 2009 in Minnesota. I was attracted to it because of the people, and because I had been an appreciative inquiry practitioner prior to finding AoH.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I've been an AoH practitioner for more than 10 years, integrating the practices and working with the patterns in all of my professional roles as well as in my life generally. I've apprenticed on a handful of hosting teams (I'm a mid-level practitioner) for trainings. We'll be holding a 3-day intensive in Washington DC in March 2020 (5-person hosting team with 2 stewards). My primary competencies are in relational and systemic change work, and in incorporating presencing practices at all levels of hosting.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
social justice and social change work, as well as leadership evolution
Where do you live/work?
VA (greater DC area)
Would you like to share a web address?
http://artofhostingdc.org
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I'm very passionate right now about learning about, practicing, and growing the capacity of our field to work with collective trauma to help move us toward collective wholeness and healing. :)

You'll find plenty of resources here, too, to help you deepen your practice. And the more you add to your profile, the more the community can learn from you and share with you.
