How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Attended the first Art of Hosting Training in Ireland, in 2008, which took place in the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation, and have been hosting ever since!
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I use Art of Hosting methods and approaches in my work within an international peace NGO, at an organisational level, and with young people to explore issues that matter to them. I am a reasonably experienced practitioner, having used these methods for almost 4 years in lots of different settings, but feel I am still at the early stage of the learning curve with this and am excited about developing my practice more.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Young people and social exclusion; community development; consensus decision making processes; participatory learning and action; international development; development education; organisational change in civil society and community organisations.
