Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I participate with the Transformative Facilitator's Group; a group of professional women practitioners. We meet to support our own learning journeys and build facilitation skills and experience to extend transformative learning opportunities to others.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am an experienced facilitator within my capacity of a registered professional planner (RPP; land use and community planner) with more than 18 years of experience. That said, I am a starting practitioner to the 'art of hosting' in terms of purposeful and transformative engagement and learning. I now know that there is a true art to hosting and am eager to build my skills.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
My practice if community based focused upon engaging community members to discuss matters related to natural 'resources' through 1-2 year community processes focused upon areas such as community planning, land use planning, climate change adaptation, brownfields/contaminated site planning, etc.
Where do you live/work?
Vancouver, BC, Canada
Would you like to share a web address?
http://www.counterflow.ca
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I am enjoying learning from my elder practitioners (all younger than me :-)) the skills and motivations specific to true human engagement and mutual learning.
