How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I participated in a 2-day seminar through the University of Tasmania, 18-19 August 2011.
As was mentioned in the seminar at one point, when going through storytelling, there has been a confluence of moments where needs, purpose and desire came together. What I felt was still missing were new skills on how to bring the most out of the groups of people I was now working with. This seminar came up, and I knew it was exactly what I needed.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
New - Just starting. Am thinking about how to use components of what was presented at the seminar in several situations at work.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Working with government, policy makers, non-profit organisations and researchers to create effective policies.
Welcome, Ann, great to see more of the UTAS team here (that is, we WILL see you when you upload a photo - got a good one?). The more you add to your profile, the more the community can see how to connect with you. There are plenty of resources to have a look at and conversations to become part of -- I hope this community will be a great one for you and you a great contribution to it!
