We leave the house at 1pm

Sisters, Partners, Friends

 

On the Tram, we travel

OTHERS

Preparing to be together

 

Syntagma is buzzing

THOUSANDS

Gathering in hope

Chanting and cheering

HOSTS

Support, connect the flow

 

Air is clear, troops are ready

STEADY

Democracy arising

 

Mood shifts, time slows

BOOM!

GAS, people move together

 

Coughing, sneezing, TEARS

MOVE!

The swelling of the tide

 

Bemused and Confused

CALM

Water flows as hands are held

 

GET DOWN – Don’t Move

SURROUNDED

Frightened faces – shaking hearts

Are we being Driven Out?

STOP!!

Today here is OUR place

 

News moves quickly

STAY!

Trouble NOT OUR creation

The Movement swells slowly

BACK

Towards the Centre

Time expands and Life is ON

MUSIC

Singing, dancing, GAS!

 

Police stand strong by gates

HOLDING

The talks inside to happen

The Drum beats and the sun drops

PEACE

We sit together in Beauty

 

Food, water relieves the weary

POWER

Present in resolute faces

 

Chants begin and whistles blow

SONGS

Echo through the thousands

Night skies frames the Scene

ECLIPSE

The Presence of the Sacred

 

Life was truly lived this day

HISTORY

Holds the breath of all.

Witnessing a Movement

PRECIOUS

Tender seeds are sown.

We are home in Axladitsa for a night as we have been given the 'green light' by the Core Team of the Real Democracy movement to host a World Cafe in Syntagma at 11pm tomorrow night - with perhaps up to 1000 people - around creating the world we want, together.

Here in the outdoor kitchen with the moon rising above the hilltop, the nightingales singing, the owls screeching and the boar moving noisily through the stream beds - the movement feels a long way away.  Yet, at the same time, it is right here.  Time to step in once again.
