How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?: I first encountered the Art of Hosting by participating in two developmental workshops and events in Yarnfield, the last event concluded on the 24th July 14.

I realised that as a Community Organiser working with groups of local people to create the change they want to see, AOH offered up some incredible tools to encourage participatory involvement and to assist with capturing and harvesting our events.

Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward): With a little over 6 months of AOH experience, I would definitely consider myself a starting practitioner.

What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?: Brining people together to improve their work and the places they live.

Where do you live/work?: I live on the beautiful Isle of Portland, Dorset. I work locally most of the time, but occasionally travel across the UK to link up with my Community Organiser colleagues.
