How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Mary Alice Arthur, a long-time friend, and Art of Hosting facilitator has told me about it.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
Experienced facilitator with lots of room to grow, refine and expand my repetoire.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I facilitate business meetings in the not-for-profit sector mainly around strategic planning, conflict and/or issue resolution and most recently mergers. I would consider myself an experienced facilitator, but since is work that I am doing more and more of, and also enjoying more and more, I'd like to learn new techniques and develop new skills. The situations are becoming more complex, as are the opportunities, and i would like my skills to keep pace, and lead, in these changing environments. opportunities presented by clients continue to grow.
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Creative ways to work through complex business problems. Creating comfort in a room when the level of fear is high. Getting people to speak their truth. Working through conflict to get to common understanding.
