Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I 1st learned about AoH as a participant in the 1st AoH Training in Brazil (April 2006).

I was attracted by the possibility to go depper in ways of being that could help to emerge the best in people through meaningfull conversations.

At that time I was an employee in a big company, working with Education for Sustainability and I quicly noticed that no significant changes towards a more sustainable human civilization would be possible without better spaces for meaningful conversations to happen. Meeting the AoH field was a gift as a path towards this direction.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
At the moment I am wondering if I am an experienced practitioner or a steward. I see that it depends on the perspective, or the universe we look.

In the International perspective, I recognize myself as becomming an experienced practitioner.

In Brazilian community I feel myself as a steward.
I've been part of a small circle of people that hosted the AoH field, being caller and/or part of the Hosting Team of most of all the first 6-7 AoH trainings in Brazil.

Besides that, AoH is the operational system for our work at CoCriar, a company, a idea or a circle as we like to name it, that was born from the AoH field.

I've been also open to host people who are arriving to the field not only as participants in trainings, but who choose to step foward to work in the world from the AoH field, to be really practioners.

This 5 year work, sometimes explicit, sometimes silent, resulted in a very alive AoH community in Brazil, that is becomming more and more consistent as time goes by.

Now other people are stepping foward to host this field widening this circle, and it is very grateful to recognize and feel part of that.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Hosting conversations in many different organizations, as companies, 3rd sector, or even intersectorial to adress decisions that need to be taken through collective intelligence. In many situations we host strategic planning gatherings.

We've been having some practice in bringing participatory spaces into big gatherings, congresses or symposiuns, specially the ones related with sustainability themes.

The long term purpose is to bring Organizational Innovation through the AoH way of being, not only trying a litlle bit in specific situations.
Where do you live/work?
São Paulo, SP, Brazil
Would you like to share a web address?
http://www.cocriar.com.br
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
My interest in being part of this community is experience and life experience as hosts and also cocreate with this community, and through practice, the next level of the AoH field.

Welcome, Tamara!  Glad to see more of the community in Brasil coming to join us here!  I've been hearing a lot about the energy that's building there.  Please, when you have the time, load a photo, so we can really "see" you here, and have a look at the conversation forums that are in action, that's where we can contribute to each other.  I hope you have a good time with us here!
