How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I learned about the Art of Hosting through the Impact Hub community. It was October 2012 when I first came across hosting. I got introduced to the methodologies, Pro Action Café was the first one I participated in. What attracted me to it was curiosity in learning more about what is underneath these methodologies, the core principles.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I work with AoH principles on a daily base at the Impact Hub Amsterdam. I would say I am a starting practitioner, I have participated in the Karlskrona training last year and am now in the hosting team of the AoH training at Impact Hub Amsterdam.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Catalysing connections and involving community members in hosting themselves. Inviting others in to take ownership of the community and bring in their own leadership.
My interest is how hosting can be implementing in really complex situations such as conflict areas.
