How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Linette Harriott hosted several Art of Hosting and
Harvesting Conversations that Matter conferences and is skilled at teaching a range of facilitation tools and techniques. She is also an experienced coach, counsellor,
trainer and educator with 28 years of work in the field of welfare services, specialising in young people, sexual assault and family violence victim/survivors including counselling,
service provision, leadership and management roles.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
Linette Harriott is a Senior Consultant at Synergistiq. She has extensive experience in designing and leading large number of training and facilitation projects across the community and government sectors.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Our Art of Hosting workshop will provide:

Teaching on tools designed to facilitate participation and conversation such as World Café, Open Space, Circle, Pro Action Cafe and Appreciative Inquiry

An opportunity to practice and experience these tools

Discussion on how the application of these tools can contribute to improved social and economic outcomes for the community.

Opportunities for partnerships and further action as a result of conversations conducted over the three days.

The Art of Hosting and Harvesting Conversations that Matter is an experience for all who aspire to learn and find better ways to work with groups; ways that nurture collective
intelligence, shared learning and effective actions. The Art of Hosting creates opportunities for ownership and responsibility where ideas are explored and solutions
can be put into action. Initiating and hosting conversations that matter is a core leadership competence that leads to significant change at both individual and collective levels.
