How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I was first introduced to AoH through a traineeship with Ian Andersen at the EC in 2014. The training I undertook opened up a new world. One of the things that attracts me most is the energy participants generate when they get to speak their minds and hearts.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I'm a starting practitioner. Art of hosting has been part of my life since 2014, sometimes more, sometimes less. I was helping with pro action cafes in Brussels, and also going on short missions across the EU. I also introduced AoH to a volunteer group I'm part of in Ghent. I've felt a great need to pursue hosting recently (early 2018) and would like to become more actively involved by connecting with other practitioners.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Migration-related themes, however I'm open to almost all topics. Internal communications within companies are a new interest... and I'm exploring many different 'creative brainstorming' exercises.
Where do you live/work?
Ghent/Brussels - particularly looking for practitioners in Ghent
