How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I was involved in the construction of a learning center in Brazil, NAPS. There was the oportunity to live, practice art of hosting. After one year of practive, I felt it was time to dive into it. So I wentv in 2009 to Turkey to participate in the "art of hosting" training.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
After Turkey, I incorporated "the art of hosting" in my work. I went to more "Art of hostings" meeting here in Brazil e was part of the hosting team. Today, I integrated it with some "methodologies" that made sense to me, like the "flow learning" (Joseph Cornell), "U theory", 'coming back to life" (Joanna Macy) and cooperative games. That how my work was born. But for me what really matters is the art of hosting as an attitude. I use it on my daylly life, since my conversations with my partner, even in work planning. I have some experience, steward...what is a real steward? I can feel it in my heart, but my actions will show if I am or not.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Welcome, Karina, great to see you here (that is, we WILL see you when you upload a photo - got a good one?). The more you add to your profile, the more the community can see how to connect with you. There are plenty of resources to have a look at and conversations to become part of -- I hope this community will be a great one for you and you a great contribution to it! Please give my regards to Patricia at NAPS!
