How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?: Rivendell, Bowen Island, BC, Canada

I originally heard about Art of Hosting at a Wilderness Quest with PeerSpirt Circle: Ann Linnea and Christina Baldwin.

Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward): I am new to Art of Hosting. I am currently working as a wilderness guide and naturalist with interest in using these methodologies in my work. I would also like to shift eventually to more focused facilitation and leadership work.

What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?: I have an opportunity to invite individuals to honor their relationship with the natural world through multi-day expeditions, day trips, and education.

Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?: I am interested in indigenous knowledge, particularly Tlingit in SE Alaska and traditional Hawaiian.

I teach about and observe humpback whales in both Alaska and Hawaii. I'm working to tie this into local environmental health and community health.
