Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I was first exposed to AoH in 2006 when I became involved in the Impact Hub network. It was natural that my life path led me to it, given I was involved earlier in the Change Facilitation Associates Network (CFAN) around 2004 where I utilized AI and Spiral Dynamics in the corporate settings I later burned my bridges to.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
It was in Dubai in 2011/2012 when my friends and AoH practitioners Susan Baghdadi and Kamyar Houbakht immersed me in a combination of deep AoH and journeying that initiated a powerful series of transformative synchronicities in my life and profound capacities to love. Since then I have been increasingly practicing Circle and Presencing. In 2015 I had the fortune of interacting firsthand with Otto Scharmer, Toke Mueller, and Margaret Wheatley when at the Unlikely Allies Summit in Romania. Through my involvement in the Shamandome community at Burning Man I have gone to the basics underlying these arts. I continue to learn and grow in this sphere.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Most of my hosting work to date has been in unlocking the powers of place in my Impact Hub location and hosting the hosts of our hub community. Now however I am more drawn to sensing how AoH is applied in intentional communities for coliving experiments.
Where do you live/work?
I am in a process of re-rooting. See website for details

I'm currently not living in the UAE because I'm back in Austria but I would love to keep in touch with any developments about AoH in the Arab World and if I can help you in any way please let me know. Are you planing to establish a training in Dubai? How are you thinking of gathering the AoH Practioneers together? I'm passing by many times would be nice to meet you.

All the best,

Hello, Hubib, and welcome to the Art of Hosting community! Glad to see you here. Post a photo when you can so we can really "see" you here. Then join in with all the conversations. You'll find plenty of resources here, too, to help you deepen your practice. And the more you add to your profile, the more the community can learn from you and share with you. We hope you will find value in exchanging in this virtual community!
