- How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
- Learned about Art of Hosting from a colleague's website.
- Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
- I work in partnership with NH Listens at the Carsey School of Public Policy at the University of New Hampshire (US). I work remotely in the upper reaches of the state, mostly with communities in what we call the North Country. In the recent past I have established a local Listens outpost, called North Country Listens, that does work in partnership with NH Listens. The work is broadly a civic engagement initiative where we work collaboratively with communities and organizations to help NH residents talk and work together to create communities that work for everyone.
- What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
- I do community engagement work, including event design and facilitation, data gathering and analyzing, project management, and anything else that comes up for projects.
Right now I'm working on a grant-funded education project of two neighboring school districts to identify collaboration opportunities, educational equity, and build trust across the communities.
