Thank you Kelly. I would love a NY minute or an hour in question if you can guide me on how to call that. I would also love your support in doing an AoH with my youth so maybe a calling with you and Oswald!
Much love

Hi Kelly, if you have time to harvest this prototype for the larger network, it would be good to announce it in the conversation space of New Developments. Thanks and be well!

Tami! This is a great question... I would offer to host an Inquiry w/ mates on this Q. It is a prototype we developed in the NYC Community of Practice and haven't activated in a while. We call it A NY Minute or An Hour In Question. I am out the door now, but could connect around it tomorrow morning. And, would like to share the process and harvest here w/ our community. Yes?

This past monday I used appreciative inquiry as part of a calling of bringing together mentors from a youth development program I was part of developing and running. In two years this was the first time such a calling took place. Knowing there had been great frustration and upset with mentors, using the appreciative inquiry approach held such a beautiful space to focus on the goodness while at the same time having all voices heard. The alling went through the Discovery and Dream piece and now the notes from the calling will be presented to the leadership. My question would be if one is not able to participate in the Design and Delivery piece, how can we ensure the leadership team leading the design and delivery is accountable to the discovery and dreaming that was harvested?

Hi Friends! Lot's of exciting things have been going on here in NYC since we all met in June!
As noted below, I have the great pleasure of working with Liz and Clarice on a Pro-Action Cafe and Social Shift. Looking forward to co-hosting more Pro-Action Cafes in NYC this fall... if anyone has a local site to offer, please let me know! Ideally w/ small tables!
Anistla, Paula, Tuesday and I have been connecting regarding creating a shift toward participatory practices in the bi-annual harm reduction conference. Anistla hosted a staff meeting in World Cafe, which generated a really great harvest and some deep inquiry into the possibility of using this structure at the conference. More on that from Anistla and Paula!!
Also, Barbara Warren and I have worked together on retreat designs. She hosted a day-long planning retreat for a national network that became a revitalization of purpose and relationship. Looking forward to hearing more from Barbara on this too! .... and to hearing more from all of you!

Tuesday, hearing you and Toke share the larger story of the unfolding of AoH in Columbus, inspired me to realize something about the power of having a larger "story frame" to hold a group's process over time... this is something I've done on a smaller scale before, within each meeting of a group that I'm working with... and, it helped me to realize something about the importance of also holding the "larger story", spanning all of the various sessions... there were more inspirations also of course, but this has been a very specific and useful one, that i wanted to share...

it was a true joy to participate in the August 16th Pro Action Cafe. As a member of the core group in Philadelphia I am delighted to watch our process unfold. I am convinced that our efforts in October will result in a deeper commitment on the part of all who attend toward children and families caught in the web of Human Services. I sit in anticipation!

Since attending the 3 day training of AoPL in NYC I feel even more passionate about the work that must be done to keep all children and youth safe and to inspire the adults who care for them into meaningful conversations. In continuing my practice Kelly McGowan and I held a Pro Action Cafe on Aug 16. It was a grand success, presently I am in the early stages of working with a core group in Philadelphia and New York for a one day Social Shift AoH design for Oct 23 and I am so excited.
