The Art of Hosting

Request for Facilitation: Staff retreat for my organization! (www.generationwakingup.org)

Dear Art of Hosting friends,

Hello!  This is Zo Tobi, a recent addition to the AoH community!  I attended a training in NYC this past spring.

I'm writing because my organization, Generation Waking Up (www.generationwakingup.org), is beginning to plan a retreat for our small staff team of 3 (potentially with more participation from 1-2 larger circles), and we're looking for experienced and gifted team & organization development / strategic planning facilitators!

Would you be willing to read below about who we are and what we are planning, and contact me and my fellow Co-Coordinator, Joshua Gorman at zo@generationwakingup.org & joshua@generationwakingup.org, if you are interested to facilitate -- or if you know of others whom you'd recommend?

WHO WE ARE

Generation Waking Up is a global campaign to ignite a generation of young people to bring forth a thriving, just, sustainable world.

We strive to:

- Awaken in young people a clear sense of who we are as a generation, an understanding of the urgent global challenges and opportunities we face, and a calling to take action.
- Empower young people with the training, mentoring, and support needed to thrive as global citizens, leaders, and change agents in the 21st century.
- Mobilize young people locally and globally across issues, geography, and all lines of difference, unleashing the collaborative power of our generation.

OUR RETREAT

What
Working with our team on creating the purpose, intended results, and design for our Strategic planning retreat, and then joining us in the role of lead facilitator for our time together.

When
We're still unclear on how much time we will need, but currently we're imagining 2 - 3 days sometime between June 11th and July 26th.

Where
Somewhere in the Bay Area of California, ideally with overnight accommodations. (We have a few options we're currently exploring.)

Compensation
Given our limited budget, we're looking for someone who is able to gift their time and energy, but we're open to having a conversation around this, and in either case, we do look forward to honoring all that is contributed in an appropriate way.

Thanks so much for considering, and I look forward to hearing from you!

all the best,
Zo
