Dear friends,
A couple of us working in Spain on organizational change towards sustainability.
We are currently designing a course for collaborative leadership in a company and we would need case studies on the implementation of AoH methodologies in business environment.
We are not looking for one-shot events but more or less long-lasting processes of change (cultural change, organizational change, innovation processes, etc).
And we also require examples or small descriptions; not very long and detailed cases (although they are also welcome!)
Do you know any source of information on this? Have you participated in a case and would be willing to share it with us?

Hi Ester,
I work with sustainability and leadership as well, both in the U.S. and now in Sweden. Last year, my partners and I did research on integrating AoH methodologies and foundational theories into the framework we use to lead organizations toward sustainability (the framework for strategic sustainable development or The Natural Step framework).
Many of the wonderful folks on this list participated in our research, as well as many sustainability practitioners around the world. It is now being field tested in the Netherlands, Portugal and elsewhere. You can download our practitioners guide for free at

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but your words had a familiar ring for me. I can't say this offers you any long-term case studies, but the experience shared with us by all these practitioners was based on their experiences of creating organizational change using AoH methods. Hopefully there will be something of value for your project.

There are some case studies that meet your requirements in the book Appreciative Inquiry for Change Management: Using AI to Facilitate Organisational Development (Authors: Lewis, Passmore and Cantore Pub: Kogan Page). Whilst the title focuses on AI, the book and the case studies blend AI with AoH approaches. The case studies follow this pattern and includes studies from BP Castrol Marine, Nokia, American Society for Quality and Orbseal Technology. The book is available via Amazon in a variety of formats.
