Profile Information:

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I learned about an immediately applied AoH techniques in the European Commission, Brussels in 2007 with the big support of George Por, and supported the very first training there with Monica Nissen, Phil Cass and Toke Moeller.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I support, coach, design and host participatory events for beginners or experiences clients. I am an experienced process designer, skillful and subtle host, coach, community builder and pioneer of collaborative practices. For over two decades, I have been supporting teams and individuals at the highest levels of business, politics, non-profit organisations and civil society.
My clients come to me when they need to go deeper and further in their work than they are able to go alone. They are often leaders seeking a shift or transformation - at an individual, team or organisational level.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Seeing the big picture, and the potential for evolution. Training others to share their practice and to apply it in every field of live, personal or work related. I specialise on creating a "community muscle", train the thinking as and for the collective. True sensing and sourcing deeper. I am a natural connector.
Where do you live/work?
Bregenz, Vorarlberg, Austria
Would you like to share a web address?
http://salonhosting.at/salonhosting/ueber/
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
Connecting fearlessly communities with diverse backgrounds. Creating trust and a safe space. Collective story harvest instead of penal discussion. Making any training participatory also in the academic world. My passion are Salons, salon talks, salon events, salon research. I am hosting my own salons and those of other people.

ta daa, you found me :) My German comes back when I'm in a German speaking country, but I'm full of grammatical mistakes and I'm pretty sure I can't speak any AoH language in German. I understand almost everything in a normal conversation though. When is the event where you want a co-host? xx

    Dear Ursula

Thank you for welcoming me here :-)

Yes there is a lot going on here - and I'll take some time to get to know what to follow, what is valuable for me in my life work

    Love always...

  • Katherine Hunter

Ursula, Thank you for such a warm and quick welcome to the AOH community!  There is a lot of information on the site...  Do you have recommendations as to the best way to learn more about the AOH process and becoming active?  I live in southern California and it appears that there is a lack of serious lack of local AOH practitioners so the online community will be my primary entry point.  Thanks again for your comment, it is nice to have a connection!  Regards, Katherine

  • Sophie Dishman

Danke, Ursula. Ich freue mich schon auf einen Austausch!

    Viele Grüße

    Sophie

  • John Teeling

  • Tina Meckel-Wille

Danke Ursula für die Konktakaufnahme und den Hinweis! Sehr gerne möchte ich AoH bald erleben, denn darauf kommt es ja an! Muss nur schauen wie ich das mit zwei kleinen Kindern, Masterarbeit und bald wieder Teilzeitarbeit hinbekomme...aber wie Scharmer sagt "go to the places of most potential" und "never give up - you are not alone" ;)

Weisst du wie ich die schwedischen Studenten kontaktieren könnte? Vielleicht gibt es da Austauschmöglichkeit, v.a. was die akademische Seite angeht.

    tina

  • Mark McKergow

Thank you Ursula!  Such a beautiful website!   I will add my photo.  As we speak Sharon Joy Kleitsch who invited me to AOH 5 years ago is posted our World Open Space on Open Space event in Florida from May 16th to 19th on your site. I am hosting and facilitating and this never would have happened had it not been for my training with AOH.  People from China, Africa, Australia, Taiwa, Serbia, Haiti are coming. So exciting. Also folks from AOH in Minneapolis. I would love a huge crowd of all of you to be here too.  Thank you again!  Suzanne

  • Sandy Heierbacher

Thank you so much, Ursula!  I'll go add my photo now.  I'm thrilled to be here; I always thought the AoH ning site was specifically for people who had been through an AoH training -- otherwise I would have joined years ago.

  • Sandy Heierbacher

Well it's a fantastic international network!  You all should be very proud of what you've created.  I hope to encourage more collaboration between NCDD and the AoH folks who are based in the U.S.
