First through a conversation last June 2012 with Samantha Slade from Percolab the Co-organizer of the Art of Hosting in Montreal, Quebec and last January 11-13 2013 - The learning of what authentic conversations are all about it - by practicing them - the Host yourself Host the other - co create
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
Starting practitioner, I had participated also to Open Space Technology Workshops and other participative processes related to my work
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
The conversation between experts and citizens and among experts to better co-create. AoH gives me the possibility to practice better and more authentic conversations in my professional practice of Landscape Architecture and urban Design to better co create the city, public spaces that we want to live in. And also to develop a voice to the citizens so they can be actors of their own city
Where do you live/work?
Montreal, Québec and I am originally from Colombia SA
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I am passionate about cities, and how to humanize public space in cities, how to make it more sustainable and see envision cities as living systems with engaged citizens
