How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I first heard about the Art of Hosting during a course for social entrepreneurs. The class itself was designed as a learning circle, following the main principles of the Art of Hosting. It has been a beautiful introduction to this community. I felt right away strongly attracted to it, because it is full of life, coherence and hope.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
When I discovered the Art of Hosting, I had the feeling of reconnecting with something that was already profoundly rooted in me. The Art of Hosting philosophy and methodologies are at the same time simple, logical, creative and powerful. What I value most is the fact that the practice required to be a host leads to a path of personal mastery, gratitude, love and compassion. It becomes a way of life and contributes to a daily transformation. In the past years, through different contexts and experiences, I have had the opportunity to experience hosting and learn from others, myself, and the circle. In the past year I have been a member of various learning circles and I also host conversations. In November 2012, I went to México for a wonderful AoH training in Ixixtlan, an eco village. I am part of the local team that organized Montreal's first AoH event. We are now preparing the next one (October 8-10th). Last year, my life partner Juan Carlos and myself have founded Lupuna, a social organization, with the intention of creating contexts that allow collective wisdom to emerge. Collaborative practices are at the heart of our everyday thoughts and actions.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I have a background in education and environmental sciences which now enriches my practice as a host. I also love arts, dancing, writing, singing, spending time in nature, looking at the stars, travelling. I do my best to bring all these parts of my being in my practice. My focus is on the inner transformation that occurs during meaningful authentic conversations. I specially value conversations that allow each person's dreams and passions to emerge and lead to concrete actions and projects. I love to support and create initiatives with a social and environmental focus.

Welcome to the Art of Hosting community, Lisa! Glad to see you here! Please post a photo when you can so we can really "see" you here. Then join in with all the conversations. You'll find plenty of resources here, too, to help you deepen your practice. And the more you add to your profile, the more the community can learn from you and share with you.
