How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I am part of a growing community of practitioners in Minnesota, beginning with a training in Jan 2011. Now I am part of a cohort of people who are being trained as trainers to help further the discussions in this area.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I have incorporated this into my work as an artist, leading discussions with other artists and around art work. I am a starting practitioner.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Racism, dialogues in rural communities, integration of art and social justice, land use/connection to land.
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
The core passion I have is connecting people to land. This can manifest in many ways like bringing rural and urban people together to share insights about land use, breathing new dialogues into conflicts around land, especially between Native and non-Native peoples.
