How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?

7-29 to 31, 2013 Mansfield Ohio I was attracted to learning ways of communicating with people from various backgrounds and cultures.

Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)

My competence is new, I have had several conversations with people since my AOH training on ways to apply this to my work. Applications to my life will be trickier, because most of my family are linear thinkers and this will require thinking outside of the box. I may be apply to apply this to the bible study group I co-teach with teens.

What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?

Primarily, I am working with freshmen chemistry students in the lab. I would like to see some colloborative learning and a way to foster study groups, along with a way to harvest what we learned as a group, and ways to improve.
