Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
September 2011, New York. I had read about AoH throughout grad school, and had an opportunity to attend the Art of Participatory Leadership and Social Change. I fell in love and felt called into something that I couldn't quite, at the time, explain.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I'd call myself a newer, yet growing, practitioner. I am a part of a learning co-hort in the midwest sponsored by the Bush Foundation's work. In the past year, I have also begun to host in my institutional work setting, a social service non-profit
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
My experiences have been diverse, and I learn something new and deepen my practice in different ways because of this 'lack of focus'.
Where do you live/work?
Twin Cities, MN
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
youth as hosts, 'stealth' hosting

Welcome to the Art of Hosting community, Susan! Glad to see you here! Please post a photo when you can so we can really "see" you here. Then join in with all the conversations. You'll find plenty of resources here, too, to help you deepen your practice. And the more you add to your profile, the more the community can learn from you and share with you.
