Profile Information

How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
Teresa Posakony facilitated the VitalTalk meeting at IslandWood, Bainbridge Island on July 8-11, 2013. The meeting was wonderful, in large part because of Teresa's contributions and care in listening deeply, helping us discover and nurture the emerging wisdom of the group, and holding the space.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
New!
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I work in the medical school at the U of WA and have found myself more and more in the role of facilitating high-stakes conversations about charged issues among extremely diverse participants and groups. Much of this work has happened at the interface between university-based research teams and tribal communities, where power differentials and a history of abuse and mistrust play a huge role in what's possible.
Where do you live/work?
Bainbridge Island/Seattle

Welcome to the on-line Art of Hosting community, Sue!  If you upload a photo, we can also "see" you here. Join into the conversations, and look around the resources, there are plenty to deepen your practice.
