How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I learned about Art of Hosting at ALiA 2011 Innovation Marketplace.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I've been co-facilitating a monthly conversation group in Charlotte, NC, since 2004 around Christian faith, theology, and emerging culture, called "The Emerging Church Discussion Group" (affiliated nationally with a network known as Emergent Village).
I also am community architect of an online community of 1,200+ missional church practitioners called TransFORM Network (http://www.transformnetwork.org/). Through TransFORM, I foster online discussions about faith and practice, and I help organize regional gatherings for face-to-face conversations and learnings.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Welcome, Steve, great to see you here (that is, we will SEE you here when you upload a picture -- got a good one?). What's alive for you now from the ALIA field? There are plenty of resources to have a look at and conversations to become part of -- I hope this community will be a great one for you and you a great contribution to it!
