How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I've been aware generally for a couple years. I got excited, however, after spending last week at ALIA in Columbus with Toke Moeller, Monica Nissen and Bob Wing.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I am a very experienced facilitator with one level of Appreciative Inquiry completed. This work is my heart and i plan to make it a cornerstone of my work with all clients -- corporate and not. As regards AoH, I think i am a starting practitioner. I plan to attend training in Nova Scotia with Toke this fall.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I plan to use hosting in my work with women searching for life/career clarity, as well as my team development/engagement work with low morale teams. I believe hosting is the way to begin to grow emotional intelligence in organizations.
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
I am passionate about increasing capacity of human beings who often lose themselves in their work, so that they know themselves, can practice mindful leadership and will become skilled at hosting conversations with their organizations.
I'm passionate about nature and peace for the planet.

I'm a veteran of AoH but brand new to Southern California (west LA). Do you have mates in the general area? I'd love to meet up some time if you have some availability.
I have been write to you since the AOH in Halifax wrapped up. In my own experience and practice I see a how the "methods" of hosting can be used in corporate healing. It sounds like you may have some experience. Any advice for someone just starting to put these two together.
Forgive me if this is not the write spot to write, I am new to this format.
Welcome, Sherri, great to see you here (that is, we will SEE you here when you upload a picture -- got a good one?). What's alive for you now from the ALIA field? There are plenty of resources to have a look at and conversations to become part of -- I hope this community will be a great one for you and you a great contribution to it!
