- How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
- From on-line search, examination of ALIA and Berkana websites, and from conversations with Jerry Nagel. In the past year I have attended three Art of Hosting training events.
- Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
- Experienced practitioner in facilitation: recent arrival (2009) in the AoH community.
- What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
- I work with community groups,coalitions, non-profits and government agencies in Minnesota in the US.
I have had rather extensive international experience, but not as a facilitator.
- Where do you live/work?
- Rochester, MN
- Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
- Strong belief in the power of community and coalitions of individuals/organizations to create change. I am former state legislator who believes in civil discourse and the search for common ground.
