How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I learned of this community through the Art of Hosting Illinois.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I've been providing parent cafes in the chicago public schools, early learning programs, and head starts for the past 5 years, and have incorporated it's principle into my everyday interactions; whether one on one, on in group dynamics. The Art of Hosting's flexibility in approach's have change the way I facilitate my meetings, focus groups, planning meetings, and the way co-creat and develop training.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
Community Development, Agency-to-agency collaborations, and parent/community engagement.
Where do you live/work?
Chicago, IL
Are there interests/passions that you'd like to share?
There are many great outcomes from my work that I can gift to the Art of Hosting network.
Music, Art, Dance are other interests, but my passions are empowering others in whatever capacity.
