How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
My first Art of Hosting experience was as part of the Luminous Green workshop held by FoAM in Belgium, 2010. It was hosted by Simone Tiesinga Poutnik and Hendrik Tiesinga.
I found it to be an incredibly welcoming experience where everyone involved was able to share their points of view. I'm someone who isn't afraid to speak up, and I found that the experience encouraged me to pay attention to other people's input (to listen louder).
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
My competence is as someone at the beginning of their practice. I've only just participated in the Bristol event (June 2014) and am still processing that experience.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
tertiary education facilitation (arts / design context)
informal adult education

Where do you live/work?
Linz, Austria

Welcome to the AoH network Pippa, good to have you here! There are an amazing amount of resources here on the Ning -- we hope you also add to them. There are also a wide variety of groups to join, including regional and language groups. And, the more you add to your profile, the more others can help and support you -- adding a picture is always a nice tough. Hope you learn and contribute heaps here!
