- How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
- I learned about the Art of Hosting at a 3-day workshop in warburton, Melbourne, August 2011. The tools I learned about resonated deeply with me. They provide incredible new possibilities for my work with Melbourne's diverse multicultural community, as well as for my involvement in my own local community.
- Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
- I'm a starting practitioner. I've experienced a few world cafes and open space events, and have undertaken the Art of Hosting training. I'm now exploring how I might practice them in my work and life.
- What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
- Bringing together diverse cultural communities to explore local issues and strengths in Melbourne's north
Exposing communities, particularly young people, to new ways of conversing which celebrate the unique contribution we can all make.
Experimenting with applying the techniques within the Victorian public sector.
