How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I first came in contact with AoH through the network Pioneers of Change, of which I am a member. I was attracted to methodologies that did not treat people as dead objects that mechanically respond to clever stimuli.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I use AoH principles in all facilitations I conduct. Most of my work revolves around hosting conversations in a million different areas and topics. While I use AoH, I never let it replace my own conscience of what I am doing and attempting to achieve. To be present is perhaps the most challenging of qualities when facilitating, but also the most rewarding for the whole process.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
I host conversations in an 'empowering' perspective; i.e. I look to open spaces for people to grow out of their comfort zone, to take a leap into the uncertain. I am particularly interested in areas of education and conflict.
