How did you learn about Art of Hosting (please add the date and place) and what attracted you to it?
I am trying to organise and facilitate a group circle on the subject of Earth Rights and Education. I was told about The Art of Hosting by Johannes Moeller (29 May) at his home (http://johannesmoeller.com). I was struggling to find the language to express my intentions for this circle and was excited by this discovery of, not only a language, but tools and a community that embodies what I have been feeling. I am grateful to Johannes and look forward to this part of the journey.
Tell us about your experience with Art of Hosting as part of your life and work. What would you say your competence in it is? (new, starting practitioner, experienced practitioner, steward)
I have practised as a planning/environmental lawyer for 6 years so am familiar with hosting meetings. I never felt I flowed particularly well in that direction internally, although from the outside I was competent in the required skills. Now that I have shifted my focus towards self inquiry and community building/healing I feel the energy in me flowing much better and am looking for some way to hook up my legal skills with my passions for Earth Rights and healing of the self and community. I am new to Art of Hosting and look forward to participating with it.
What is the primary field/topic/focus in your hosting work?
The International Learning Village in Slovenia happens at the end of August, so you haven't missed anything yet! Are you interested in joining us? Have a look at the events section or here: http://internationallearningvillage2012.withtank.com/
Welcome to the Art of Hosting community, Mothiur! Glad to see you here! Please post a photo when you can so we can really "see" you here. Then join in with all the conversations. You'll find plenty of resources here, too, to help you deepen your practice. And the more you add to your profile, the more the community can learn from you and share with you. You might want to get in touch with Linda Mitchell in Leeds, who is holding the field in the UK. There's an Art of Hosting training happening at the end of June in West Lexham.
